I love it. Most exciting looking bmw in a long time. Can only imagine when we start seeing them with a slight drop and some wheels.

As with the M3/4 the M240i needs the side skirts painted body colour, the non M sport proves this point.

Is it me or do the lights look kinda small in proportion of the car itself? With the M2 being more bulbous and muscular, wont the lights look even smaller?

Although I appreciate the e90 shape of the rear taillights, they are not working in terms of the design for me.

Doesn't look half bad in the release photos,

I somewhat prefer the base 220i front bumper over the m240i variant

Looks like they managed to make the base model more attractive than the souped up version. That’s a first…

What are you talking about? Both cars have circular wheels. They look identical... 😂😂😂

It's because they're pushed way too far out to the sides/edges. Especially the tail lights. Has a derp face/ crazy eye look.

These new BMW redesigns give me absolutely zero emotional reaction. It's like they're purposely shaping them worse and throwing away decades of design iteration and progression. I initially wasn't crazy about the 2002 and CSL concepts but after looking back to back against these, they're leagues ahead of the new 2,3, and 4 series, and after sitting on it, I think they would have been a refreshing retromodern comeback for the brand.

I'm not design expert, far from it, but to me all these new BMWs are horrid. They finally got rid of the crazy origami folded bumpers that started with the 1M coupe and then screwed up the whole shape of the car at the same time.

I think this is the first time I have ever liked the non m sport version better. Wow. The white 220 looks great!

Hope to put an AW G87 in my garage in a bout a year….

Notice how the door handles sit flush to the panel and are much much prettier than the 3 & 4 series.
Y'all … I don't hate this. Those tail lights look better in 3D

Thanks for pointing that out.I didn’t notice that the side skirts are painted in black shadowline like the M3 and M4 on the M240i in these pics.I’m actually not sold on that look.I would actually prefer the G87 to just have them painted in the usual body color of the car.

Completely agree. The non-M looks better, for once. Maybe I'll get a 230i to replace my current M2?!?

I wish I liked the tails more. They're too thin for me. Maybe that's just DRLs though and when fully illuminated the thickness comes out. As is, in these photos, it just doesn't look like there's enough taillight in proportion to the car's shape.

On the brakes the rear probably looks better.

While I don't love the rear, I'm a fan of the front end and side profile.

I still have hopes the M2 will be a great looking car.

I like everything but the rear (when looking straight at the back). I will also miss the 4 headlights in the front.

The non-m sport looks better IMO. The wing mirrors, triangles, and weird exhaust make it seem less cohesive to me

Rear duck tail looks better without the mini spoiler actually and the shadow on the mineral white is mega.
