Like I said, that makes sense. I've been around people who made stud conversions their first "mod", and then left the same wheels on the entire time they owned the vehicle. Because of that I figured it was an appearance thing, up there with the people who leave tow eyes or straps screwed into their bumper.

But... Race Car!!! Yeah that is one I have never understood either, that and the other silly Boi-Racer stuff I see around town, lol. The other one that gets me is the HUGE wing on the back of a 15 year old Honda civic that the only way it could go fast enough to make use of the wing is if it was rolled off a very high cliff.

Some days ago I found this wiring harness completely cut. Don't know what happened.

But car had so many strange problems. Fuel level oscillated in turns and accelerations, onboard computer didn't show fuel consumption, side passenger restraint system fault, DSC fault, EDC fault, etc etc

Replaced all the 4 ABS speed sensors, and when I was to change the last one, the rear right, that's what I found.

Repair done, all problems solved, hope it lasts forever.

Wow, that is bizarre! Looks like something got in there and chewed it apart! Glad you got it sorted!

Hey now, that rear downforce is really helpful on an FWD car, don't hate!

That is really bizarre. Do you do a lot of launches? A sharp rock flung up during travel - or a burnout - could have done that but I don't see any impact on the wheel well itself in the pictures. Two of the wires look like they could have been animal work, but the dielectric jackets on the other wires look like they have very clean cuts. If you look at those cuts, you'll see they're at an angle, instead of straight across. Someone who cut those wires with the wheel off would generally cut at a 90 degree angle, but someone who reached up under the car would almost be forced to cut at an angle.
So, it almost looks like a prank or sabotage of some sort. Do you have any enemies? If not, just blame evil ninjas and move on.

Your car looks excellent. I don't get why BMW dropped Sparkling Graphite after one year.

Got my side mirror wrecked by an asshole on a bike who took off through traffic before I could even realize what happened. Now I'm looking at $400-500 for new glass and cap. Luckily the motor still works.

Left at 6am for a nice drive down 160 to Berkeley, over the Bay Bridge to SF, down 101 to Santa Clara, over 9 to Skyline, then 84 to HWY 1, stopped at HMB Brewing, HWY 1 over the Golden Gate, 580 to Richmond for some cider (and this snap) then back to Sac at around 10pm. Quite the changing weather with the top down: chilly to beautiful to freezing to beautiful again LOL

Sorry bud, on behalf of all bikers. Please don't think we are all the same! I'd have definitely stopped. Although tbh I don't ride busy streets anymore too dangerous.

Thanks man. Yeah it definitely doesn't represent all bikers. I know plenty who are responsible riders. NYC is just full of asshole drivers, regardless of vehicle. This was a group of 3 who were blowing through red lights and splitting lanes through Manhattan traffic. 🙄

It's kinda why you ride a bike though in NYC. Makes the city super convenient and accessible. Who's going to wait around for lights 🤷🏻*♂️

Yeah, seriously, who's gonna to wait around for lights and be responsible on the road and not destroy other people's property? Ain't nobody got time for that.

Destroying people's mirrors isn't the same as waiting for lights.

Thanks mate. I really love this color.

I'm aware that side was damaged in a collision with a previous owner. But everything seems well repaired.

And I remember trying to do a powerslide some day, when still learning the car's behavior, and that went a little wrong, giving the car a intense balance. Just after that, in the next light, the DSC got a fault.

Couldn't spend money that time, and left it that way.

After some months, system restraint and EDC faults. Tank level e onboard computer too.

That's it.

No burnouts. Many launches.

There was much wheel hop during the launches, by the way, and this may be a cause. Don't know. (This was solved replacing the subframe bushings for solid aluminum ones)

Ah, that is above the wheel liner, I think there is no way for a rock to be projected there.

No enemies.

That's not what you said in the initial post. Your mirror was destroyed and before you knew what happened the suspected culprit took off. Again riding through reds and smashing mirrors aren't the same thing.

Took care of TA's preventively this weekend. Was on original TA's at 145k miles. Still no issues but wanted to take care of them before I SC.

Side note, finally decided to buy a Milwaukee Stubby impact wrench and m12 extended reach ratchet… made the job a breeze.
