What the heck is going on?
I'm not sure. My car had similar issues ages ago. There was an issue with locking electronics popping a fuse. But iirc that was affecting both doors. Maybe something in here. https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=11827119
The thread you posted seems similar to what is happening to my car

Except for the driver door, the other 3 doors will not even unlock or open when I pull the handle from inside the car
How can all 3 stop working? Isn't it a mechanical lock/unlock? Or is it all electronic?
I know my e46 door lock mechanism was a physical wire hooked to the door handle

Th a/c blower motor in my wife's q5 died on the hottest day of the year (Monday). of course it did! Hope you get it sorted!
That sucks, hopefully it wasn't too painful. I'm gonna just monitor it for now, still blows cold and the A/C is literally the only thing I haven't touched in my 3 years of ownership (think the previous owner had something changed a year before I bought it).

Could be the FRM or footwell module. I know they are a known issue with these cars and that is what controls all of the locking functions. Having any problems with the lighting, inside or out? I had a similar issue with my Mini (same FRM module) and it was cooked and had to be replaced. Hope that is not your issue as they are not cheap.

Received a nearly $800 refund check from USAA for my (now expired) extended warranty that I had bought more than 3 years ago for my M3. I paid about $3k for it at the time. They mentioned something about the warranty company not meeting many members' standards for quality and thus the refund as a courtesy.
I never had any issues getting warranty work approved and in fact got over $10k worth of work completed using the warranty, so BONUS!

Did a wheel stud conversion kit, first time given I've had three M3s. Should have done this years ago.

Why? Honest question, no troll. I've owned 4 M cars so far, never could understand why people change to studs. I just never thought to ask anyone before.

Easier & quicker wheel swaps. Sometimes it's necessary if you have, or want to have spacers.

Well that makes sense.

I had to ask. I've seen too many cars with stock wheels on studs, and then the owners ran open nuts so the studs stuck out, or else they used these ridiculously long cap nuts that stuck out even farther. Anodized bright green, purple, or orange for bonus points.

I used to spend a lot of time on various foreign and domestic forums and it seems like they all have their signature move. For a while the LS guys first "mod" was getting whatever billet catch can was famous that day. The JDM/KDM did the stud mount. BMW guys go to track school.

Dude….that is super weird. I got the same refund check from USAA, when I purchased their extended warranty back in year 2013….but the extended warranty was for an 07 e90 328i that expired 2015. Oh well…just deposit the refunded check…not going to complain about free money.

Stud conversion was not "just because" or for cosmetics for me. I have two sets of wheels and tires (summer and winter) and have wheel spacers. It's much easier to install and remove all this with wheel studs instead of lining up the hub hole, spacer hole, and wheel hole all just to thread a bolt into it, times five. I'm hoping this makes wheel and tire swaps much easier.

Christopher.

Confirmed that it is bank 1 TA. Damn it. The weather is gorgeous and my car is stuck in my garage.

Oh well, such is life. My new rebuilt actuators shipped today.

Guess I have to rock the Volvo wagon for a bit.
