Rebuilded throttle actuator problem...

Hi, the throttle bodies on my s65 where rebuilded about 3 years ago.

Today the car went in limp mode with the code : p155e throttle actuator monitoring actual value / desired value correlation (bank 2).

I stopped and cleared the code, went home no problem, limp mode did not come back (i drove very gently)

So it's pretty much impossible that the gears have failed since the are all in metal now and i need to figure out if its the TPS sensor or the actual throttle actuator circuit board. Wish it was a sensor... way cheaper.

Is there a way i could figure this? Thanks

The gears aren't the only failure point in the throttle actuator. The electronics and the motor that drives the gears can also fail. There's a couple outfits that will rebuild these if you send them in with reasonable turnaround but if they've been rebuilt once already - well I'd probably just buy two new throttle actuators and replace them both.
