UPDATE 5/11: Collecting payments. Putting the order in on 5/17. If interested all payments must be received by Sunday 5/16 6pm PST. UPDATE 5/6: Got the pricing from the supplier earlier today. So far we are within the originally discussed budget of $1000 per muffler + shipping to ConUs to those who need it. Over the weekend I will be reaching out to each one of you individually for the payment and commitment. Be ready to send money and commit 100% because we will not be able to back out of it once confirmed and no refunds can be issued. You will however be able to sell the exhaust to someone else once it's here or even before it gets here - that's solely on you. PLEASE ALSO LET ME KNOW IF YOU DO NOT SEE YOURSELF ON THE PRE ORDER LIST BELOW. I was trying not to miss anyone but it was actually quiet a few moving pieces believe it or not. Thank you and I'm stoked to place the order!! UPDATE 4/27: 4 resonators X pipe is not an option at this time, unfortunately. I think I am personally going with muffler only. Please also see attached pics of the tips for your final consideration. THE MOST IMPORTANT UPDATE: PLEASE INDICATE IF YOU HAVE E90 OR E92 UPDATE 4/26: Please take bullet points below and DM me the exact set up you are interested in. I appreciate many of you being interested but before I go to supplier asking for a final price/deal I need to understand what we are looking for specifically. Please see below how I'd prefer to see the interest from you. Once I get 5 or more people I will go to the supplier asking for a final quote and make arrangements. 1) Sandblasted muffler 2) Mirror polished tips 3) Vacuum valves 4) E92 ORIGINAL POST: Hello All, 6 months ago my friend Danny was helping me and a few other members here with an exhaust group buy directly from the supplier in China. I will not name any US brands currently working with them but we can chat about it separately if needed. Thread for the old group buy is below: https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1771922 Long story short, I sold my car in March and recently got another E92. I really liked the exhaust as well as the price on it so I will be working with the supplier on another group order. The options for the exhaust are: 1. Stainless Steel Muffler a) Mirror Polished or b) Sandblasted 2. Exhaust tips a) Stainless Steel Mirror Polished b) Stainless Steel Sandblasted c) Burnt tips d) Carbon Fiber 3. Valves a) Electric or b) Vacuum (we went with vacuum last time and trust me this is what you want) 4. Your body style Price for the rear section is going to be roughly $1000 (this is what I will be collecting per muffler and refund difference if there is any); last time we didn't account for some warehouse charges, etc. so Danny collected roughly ~900ish from everyone but he then got hit with some of the unforeseen charges and had to cover it out of pocket. Pricing will also depend on the amount of exhausts in the order. If you are not local to SoCal and need this shipped elsewhere in the ConUS then I'd add another -$150 to your total price. Ideally I would like to have the order placed on 5/31 so it gives us a month to have a solid group and collect the payments for production. Looking forward to working with the interested parties and feel free to DM me your cell phone so we can get a group chat going as well where I will be providing the updates. Best, Alex |

Very well stated brother.
For anyone interested in this group buy, as a member, it's worth the savings. With the amount of time and effort I spent running the GB, I will not be doing another one myself and don't suggest anyone running one yourself unless you have experience in doing so. Hidden fees kinda screwed me in the end and I should have just paid about $100 more to just get one shipment for myself. I wouldn't have waited a month either. But such is life, and I enjoy helping out the community. Alex is very communicative and well respected locally here in the E9X M3 community. I personally vouch for him and will make sure this GB goes smoothly for him and yourselves as well.

Good to see more guys buying from the "source" this goes the same for all CF parts for the e9x.
I got mine off China and it works wonderful. I recommend vacuum controlled, 4 resonators and the X relocated higher like bimmerworld.

Thank you both for the kind words. I'm actually excited to run this GB as much as getting my new set up. It took me 9 miles of driving to understand I can't stay stock lol

not sure if you can do the relocated X as thats gonna increase the production time.
but based on the set ups ive heard with the valve exhause, the quad reso is the way to go with it. me and Danny will have a challenger sport xpipe / baba exhaust video for you when we meet up. i do highly suggest the vacuum valves.

Would the X-pipe work for a different rear section (Corsa)? Could we select only the X-Pipe?

Ask matt to run the gb with the company, its literally what he does. he already has the infrastucture to handle a gb, post this on the facebook e9x page as well, you may get some more takers.

The exhaust fits OEM and all other X pipes unless it's Akra.
Shipping is 150-200: I can't run any quotes just yet. Like I mentioned in the original post, we shipped one from SoCal to TX and it was $150. Please DM with your specific requests using the 4 bullet points above. Saying you are interested doesn't do much to me. X pipe is not going to be custom like Bimmerworld so if this is your concern I'd just stick to the muffler. |

Matt wouldn't do these type of group buys, if you see his personal car and his current group buys he.. he wouldn't push the alibaba stuff.

Sounds great, fumes are unbearable. Got a great deal on a Challenge Sport X pipe so I'll be pairing the exhaust this week and will post sound clips. I am supercharged however, so sound will be slightly different for comparison.

Last time it took us 2 months to get the exhausts from the day we placed an order (end of Nov-end of Jan) so I'd expect the same when we place our order in May. Depending on the amount of interested parties and demand I might move the deadline to 5/15 and place an order then with the tentative ETA of exhausts to arrive in SoCal mid-end July. Then add roughly one more week to get yours if you are out of state. |
