I though these 2 lines (pictured) were coolant hoses. Unscrewed them and they were actually high pressure lines. Sprayed everywhere and made my garage stink. I've researched and seems like these are the AC lines to the evaporator. How do I fix this? Is this a simple AC recharge with refrigerant(to the low pressure valve behind the plenum?). Thank you in advance!

Edit: this is for an 08 e90 m3. I took the front end of the car off along with all the radiators/condensor.

If you released the whole charge you'll need to vacuum and then recharge the system. The low pressure valve is behind the plenum on the rh side if you're looking at the engine. If you don't have the access to a charging apparatus, take it to a place and pay $100 for them to do it. If you want to be really cheap "A/C pro" in a can will work too but now the system has been exposed to the atmosphere it's contaminated with air and it won't be as efficient and will potentially damage the compressor with air in the system. Having said that there's tons of cars including mine which have leaky evaporators and require the occasional recharge too. So they've been contaminated at one point or another too.

Don't run the system empty
