Tail of the Dragon Trip - Input Needed!

Hi everyone, I’m taking a trip to Bristol in April for the World of Outlaws races and figured I’d use the opportunity to drive the Tail and other roads in NC on the way. Here’s my itinerary, I’m looking for some input on what I could changes or some opinions on must-drive roads while I’m in there area.

My plan is to start in Danbury for Hanging Rock then take 268 West to Elkin. After Elkin, I’ll head North on 21 to Sparta, then head West/South on 18 to Wilkesboro. From Wilkesboro I’ll take the Blue Ridge Parkway to Boone. From Boone take 221 South until I reach Little Switzerland. Then it’s back on the Blue Ridge Parkway until Asheville. After Asheville I’m going to somehow get to 19 then back on the Blue Ridge Parkway until I get to 441/Tail to Gatlinburg then probably traditional highways until I reach Bristol.

Those familiar with this area, am I getting everything? Any input/thoughts?
