Ecu tune affect smoothness of reving?

I have notice that my car revs differently at different times. What I’m referring to is the smoothness and eagerness to rev. Can this be affected by the tune or map timing?

Just updating the software to the latest 240E smoothed mine out, a noticeable improvement. Tune just added more throttle response, power (stage 2 after deleting cats) and a few other goodies.

I wasn’t clear in original post. I already have a tune. What I’m trying to figure out is whether the tune can affect the smoothness. For example, running lean or rich, or pulling timing.
