Split Beam Torque Wrench Anyone?
https://olsatools.com/products/split...4aAk3KEALw_wcB
Looks like you can set it and not worry about loosening it up after using it. My buddy swears by his but wondering if anyone here has used one? The video is pretty informative once you forward through the intro. .

+\- 4% accuracy doesn't seem that great.
Might be okay for lug nuts, but not engine internals IMO. My 3/8" was measured within +/- <1% accuracy at 50ft-lb. It's what I use for rod bearing jobs, and only rod bearing bolts. |

Just get it professionally calibrated if you're that worried about accuracy. I paid like $65 for my 10 year old Craftsman to be done.

I've seen may say the $10 Harbor Freight torque wrench is great for most jobs.
But this just seems cooler... but is it worth 15 HF units that come with a lifetime warranty?? .

A torque wrench is not something I want to have anxiety about, especially for very sensitive work. A wheel nut being off by a few foot-pounds...you'll be fine. A valve cover being off by a few pounds...might lead to a pretty massive oil leak.
