I miss my big shifter. I put a short stock one in to make the interior more civilized but I love that mod. How's the noise?

It's still on jack stands. Have some more work to do. I just put in 95A engine and trans mounts before the last track day of the year though, so it is...loud.

I was running the stock shifter until now. The bushings were blown out, and I don't drive it much except at the track so I figured why not.

Well when I went for the first test drive, I was immediately like "this was a mistake". NVH through the roof, and the sound at low rpm/load was terrible. Then I drove on track once and got used to it pretty quick.

If I was street driving regularly there is zero chance I'd have them. Definitely the biggest nvh I've added with a single part by miles.

Picked up a Metak diffuser and put a few coats of jet black and clear Imron on it last weekend. Installed it today. I was going for a subtle look that went well with the 3.5" tips.

If only a generous soul on the forum could share free CAD files of the E9X M3. We could all just [real] CAD our own custom parts. Wouldn't it be nice?

Dunno if these pics help at all but here's a link to the ones I used. https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=25400384

They look nice. Just have no idea if they would fit the ID and backspacing of the PFC V3 rotor of my Z54 kit. I've asked a couple different backing plate producers and they had no idea.

After watching the Leatherique stories for year I decided to try it out. Had to order from The US so a good $100 before small bottles arrived but will last for long on the other hand.
To be fair my seats where in good shape already but no doubt the stuff seem to do its work, not bad for daily 10years / 80kkm seats.
I only have 18-20C in my garage so aware its a bit shilly, tried out with front seats only. The feeling after one night + Prestine cleaner is not oily on the fingers but a little...rubbery? The way it should be?

Roastbeef - is this a daily driver or a track car or both? Wondering how many pounds total you've taken off.

Big fan of that subtle look Metak offers. Underrated. Are your 3.5" tips on the stock axle-back?

They look like they came out pretty well. Idk about rubbery, tho - they should feel soft to the finger tips. Did you use warm water to try and remove the rejuvenator or just the pristine clean?

Give it a go. I found that the pristine leaves more of an annoying residue than not. Some microfibers and warm water will do the trick for the final removal. They also add to the satisfaction when you see the water turn brown revealing how much gunk you pulled off.
