I don't expect it got smaller than the F2X platform. The F2x some might view as twitchier, which made it a lot of fun to drive frankly having owned an E9X, F2x and F3x chassis. (Shorter than the E46 even).

The G42 does not resemble much of the M3 coupe of the past, but in fact inherits the most if not all of the characters design wise of the E87/F20 hatchback, its ancestor.

It's hopeless if you're looking for the old 3 series/M3 coupe successor kind of car.

Good Lord I did not see that bump myself. Good spot and agree, hard to believe it's a series non M car.

At the end of the day, it matters not what the 2 Series coupe looks like but what the M2 looks like. The F22 looks nowhere near as good as the F87, and I expect a similar trend with this new generation.

If they get the new 2 series right then hopefully the M2 should look better. The F22 is still a good looking coupe IMO
