Removed the track pads.
But the real "WIN" was splitting the shark fin with the alignment laser for the lift!
I feel like I should be concerned that I'm so excited by that?

Did the safety triangles not come in NA/US spec cars? Mine has one mounted in the trunk and I always wondered if all cars came with that.

Nope! It's my understanding that only US cars which had Euro Delivery had the safety triangles

Technically the last "3 days" but finally finished my Apple Car Play (Carsara via AliExpress) + Reverse Camera (via Amazon) install to bring the M into the 2020's! You can DIY for around ~$250 if you have the tools, space and patience.

very nice, if I decide to not install a camera, does the reverse sensor still work like before ? All other menu option still work from CIC (car status, oil level etc )?

Can't tell you about the sensor engagement but I'm sure it's part of the integration. I'd ask in the ACP/Carsara DIY thread in the coding section.

Switch between your regular CiC functions/screens and the CarPlay, you hold the menu button on iDrive for 3 seconds - that simple and straight forward.

Set up a new GB I was not going to replace my felt under tray for another one.

Made by a fellow M3 owner & aerospace engineer by trade. Lightweight: 3.7 lbs versus 3.9 lbs (OEM) and doesn't require any steering line rerouting, nor any cutting.

As soon as I hit reverse it automatically switches to CIC. I don't have reverse camera installed yet, but perhaps the box just emulates the coding for reverse camera and the CIC just believes you have an oem reverse camera as non M e9x did get them eventually.

I'm going to be that guy, because I just want honest answer as I am in the market to pick one up myself.

I see everyone coming up with their own variant now a days, but it seems everyone comes out with a more and more expensive one. Why?

There are some just over $200 and some names everyone throws around with these things at the $400 range, but this is the second one I have seen this week pushing close to $500.

Why after 8 years since the this gen was sold new is there not a cheap option yet? I know aluminum is expensive, but not that expensive.

This one is 385 shipped. The most affordable one of the market when all costs are factored in.

Mporium, Turner, Pinnacle, Mumbray - are all more expensive with landed costs for the latter 2.

I like Winston's take as he came out with the lightest one on the market, and without needing any drilling, cuts or rerouting steering lines at a reasonable cost all considered.

Looks awesome. My one complaint, can we just stop using the words aviation grade/military grade materials? There is technically no such thing. Aviation materials have to be certified for the intended use and can be made out of anything as long as they can pass certain tests and meet requirements for the specific use of that part. Example a specific type of aluminum can be certified for the landing gear but not the passenger seats. That being said the material the that is used in any consumer product would never have anything to do with aviation or the military because it's not intended for the military or an airplane. Airplane tires are made out of the exact same rubber as passenger tires but you cannot call them aviation grade because they didn't go through the same process. Personally and I'm probably alone when I see a consumer product that states aviation grade I assume they either think their customers are idiots or they're the idiot.

Sorry it's just a pet peeve.

FINALLY pulled the trigger and dropped my Megan racing exhaust for a Corsa. All I can say is wow..what a unique sound. Pretty amazing that it's virtually drone free. The only drone I notice is in 7th at around 80mph, but definitely not bad at all. The sound actually reminds me of my n55 with MPE exhaust and the resonators deleted.

Once you paint the cans I think it looks pretty darn good. I think all it needs is to be tucked up another inch or so.

I do wish it's was about 25% louder. Will an high flow catted xpipe accomplish that?

Sadly 80 in 7th is generally my cruise speed, but it's not terrible.

I think having it tucked like that is the right move.

I prefer the sound when shifting at 4K

Everyone says it sounds even better with test pipes.

Yep, tucked is the right move with the Corsa. 4K is a total eargasm. Now I need to find an xpipe that I'll be able to pass MA inspection with. Not sure this unicorn xpipe even exists.

I noticed my MDCT was slightly leaking oil when I put the car away for winter. As I crossed 80,000 miles and prepare the car for track usage, a replacement billet pan was in order.

I narrowed my selection for a Group Buy to Slon's pan as its clever engineering has yet to be matched and it is track proven with many members of the group and forums running this pan for years with no issues.
