ESS VT2 625 (7-Rib) Kit

Hello

I have a question to other S/C owners. This is going to be specific to the 625 with a 7-Rib or those with the 650+ which I believe also utilizes the 7-Rib belt.

My car is a 2011 so the auxiliary belt routing is the as such. I am curious as to how the clearance looks for the Water pump pulley to the Idler that is right near it. As the system now uses the 7-Rib belt, this pushes the new WP Pulley outward more as those additional pulleys were changed to accommodate. In doing this, the WP Pulley now is extremely close to the Idler that is connected to the Auxiliary Belt. To clarify, by clearance, I mean they are very very close to touching. I have marked these in yellow from a belt diagram for routing.

Have other members noticed this clearance to be extremely close as well? I am not sure if there was a part that I was missing or if something was to be adjusted to do this "properly".

Also, I know fitment is tight with the kit in all places. In regards to the K&N filter, my fitment seems to be very very tight. This pushes quite a bit on the plastic wheel well liner, among other places due to it being a tight fit. It takes a bit of force to get this to sit tight. Any tips on making this possibly fit without being kinda forced?

I dont know on the 7-rib Q, but on the K&N filter part is a tight fit. I had to trim extensively on the air duct to get it to fit properly and its still a tight fit and pushes the wheel well outwards, but all the screws still line up.

Yeah the fitment is something i'll have to dabble with at some point during snow days.

I'll likely reach out to ESS again to see if anything comes of it. Not sure what else there is I can do. I find it quite surprising that there just isn't any information regarding this anywhere.
