Hey guys,

So found out my resonators were damaged on my x-pipe, also already had the idea of doing headers on the car. Just pulled the trigger on ARH long tube headers that have there own x-pipe so ill be moving on from my Gintani X-pipe

Have had the X-pipe on the car for about 20-30k miles.

Two of the resonators are damaged, and will probably need to be replaced. I bottomed the resonators out from the car being too low, they have been flattened and seemed to be working okay but lately I've been smelling fumes inside the car, maybe just not used to my fully catless car.

Pictures will be posted shortly, the X-pipe is being taken off the car next week and being replaced so i will have it available for sale.


Offer up, will be selling to best offer. Willing to ship as well.

Please be reasonable with your offers the X-pipe is around $2,100 new.

Hey, yes I can get pics. Unfortunately I'm out of state currently and would have to contact my shop. The X pipe has been taken off the car and is currently sitting at autoCouture motoring. I inspected the X pipe upon being taken off the car. Since it is the quad resonated version the two resonators closest to the headers are fine, the ones further down the xpipe that are right next to where it mates to the muffler are the ones that are damaged. They are flattened and You can either go two ways after purchase. Either cut the resonators out and just straight pipe that section leaving just two resonators, or you can cut them out and replace them, bringing it back to the quad resonated version.

Used X pipe sell for around 1200-1500 on the forums here. I'm figuring since this X pipe needs repairs I'm willing to ship for 1K flat. Could work a better deal if it's a local sale!

Bump willing to let this go for 800$ plus shipping. Figuring 200-400$ to replace the resonators. Which would put this x-pipe right around low market price 1200$. Again this is quad resonated so you can even cut out the two bad resonators and straight pipe that section. Could be less of a cost as well but a perfect xpipe, one of the best sounding x pipes on the market!

What would be the benefit of buying a damaged xpipe if the cost to fix it is equal to low end cost of a functioning one? IMO it isn't worth the risk. glws.

Thanks for your input, although this xpipe sells on this forum for 1500$ all day. Gintani is one of the most sought out x pipe on here, and your not understanding that the damage is very minor. I can't imagine the cost being more than 200$ to replace the resonators. Also if you just cut them out and straight pipe the section of the x pipe it might even be cheaper. I'll hold onto it till I find someone interested

Based off the pictures it seems to appear as if the resonators closest to the headers side are the ones that are damaged, not the other way around as you have described.
