Definitely a deeper tone. Id say its like, 35% louder. Maybe more. No drone whatsoever. It sounds amazing.

Sounds nice. Anyone know if the cat delete has been done to the perforated (two-pipe) pipe mod?

[QUOTE=954MM;25996846]Check it out:
any downside to the 2ndry cat delete? At the minimum I'd assume issues with emissions which isn't an issue in FL seeing as that you guys aren't required to have that done. |

Sounds amazing. For your vid you only replaced the 4 perforated pipes with straight pipes? Nothing else?

4 pipe mod is basically a muffler delete no?
your deleting all the perforated sections within the muffler, why not just delete the muffler and save the weight

2 pipe mod is replacing the 2 large middle pipes with straight pipes. ACM is basically straight pipes through the exhaust which helps it drone less than straight pipes I guess. I think this is a little louder than the 4 pipe mod. I'm probably wrong.

Nah the dog hair insulation stuff is normally kept. you got 2 pipe where the two larger perforated pipes are replaced with solid pipes. 2.5 where a third smaller perforated pipe is I think half replaced with solid or half wrapped with material that covers the holes. You could do other varieties I guess replacing half of the large pipes but I don't know of a name for something like that. 4 pipe replaces all 4 perforated pipes with solid in the center chambers. I understand the muffler design still reduces drone this way. ACM method which just bypasses the criss crossing of pipes in the center muffler and comes straight out so no pipes are going through the center where the "dog hair" is. This is going to have the most drone. |

This sounds amazing! I have the oem exhaust mod and want to get to this sound. When you remove the secondary cats do you have to add a straight pipe? Don't know how this stuff works. Also would any muffler shop be able to remove the secondary cats? What do I ask them to do? Lol

I'm just trying to get a little bit more of a sound without compromising CEL or getting a tune, so thinking about doing this especially if it sounds even a little like yours.
