I'm sure that's with windows + motors. The OEM door cards are quite heavy.

Ugh wish their E90 panels had armrests like that. So nice. My driver's door card is getting 130,000 miles worth of gross and needs a refresh anyway

Thank You!

I have and they are comparable. The A052 has historically been my go-to tire. I tried the Goodyears because a customer of mine works for Goodyear and sold me on them. He wasn't kidding. They are solid. Now, I was at a new track so I don't have lap times to compare them with the A052. I recently relocated from CA to WI. This was my first time at Road America. I will say that the consistency struck me. They didn't lose grip or get greasy during the 30 minute sessions. That being said, I will likely compare them to the A052 in the future as I have a couple sets of A052 on hand.
Nice Bret! May give these a try as my next set.

How do QTR-C get fitted in BK mounts? I like the seat quite a lot when I sat in them, but ruled out after reading: "..requires the special QRT-R Side mounts (#600QRT) which allows the seat to be racked back for a comfortable seating position."

Makes sense, when I felt the rear door cars I was genuinely surprised how heavy duty it felt haha

The doors and windows are all stock other than the interior door panels. Note that I deleted the speakers. If you look closely you will also see that I replaced the tweeter trim as well. I sourced a trim piece without the tweeter opening. I'm anal like that.

Cool. Any idea why Sparco lists that on their website?

To sell their mounts. I also have Sparco QTR but the "performance" leather/alcantara version on BK mounts to the OEM sliders. They're awesome!

Nice, thanks DR. Makes sense I guess, just didn't know if it was something with this seat specific. Even the guys at WindingRoad missed out on a sale because I was told that needed Sparco side mounts. Glad the real info comes out here.

If that's the case though; why don't they list that for all their seats? Not sure how long Sparco has been making seat mounts, but if they are relatively new to it then I understand the "only compatible with..." stuff.

Slicer, with that wheel and tire setup are you running any spacers?

Definitely needs a side mount, but the Brey Kraus options are definitively superior to the other adjustable slider options. Mounting to the OEM sliders = rattle free, and greater adjustment range.

If you're mounting the seats directly to the floor, I'm sure the Sparco option works great.

my OE manual slider setup is kind of crusty in a few places. Previous owner sourced them and they definitely came out of a junkyard car or something. Has anyone ever fully disassembled them to refinish? None of it is bad enough a little sanding and paint couldn't fix it but it seems like it would be sooo much easier with everything apart.

Because they want you to buy their side mounts. There is nothing unique about the seats mounting points. I used the same BK side mounts and mounting holes that I used with my former cobra seats.

The Sparco option is not going to work for direct to floor without a 3rd party adapter. Only BK makes direct to floor mounts that line up with BMW OE floor mount locations.

I have a 5mm front spacer due to my suspension design which uses a piggyback reservoir. The diameter of the shock is larger than typical due to the reservoir. A more conventional shock may not need a spacer if the spring and perch is placed above the tire

I know about the BKs setup popularity, and function of using oem slider. The Sparco QRT is first seat I've seen a manufacturer state "must be used with xxxx mounts." I didn't know if the seat itself, was a different design (side Mount point wise) - or any number of reasons why a manufacturer would state such. I ask a lot of questions, but when it comes to safety IMO you can never ask too many questions.
