ESS Plenum broke leaking water into engine

Yeah I just bought another one from them, it's ther newer style version although I think they are virtually the same. I'm getting the newer style velocity stacks also. It was 1560 shipped.

This is the worst thing to see just when I finished installing the kit. Can you share some pics of the old and new parts? would love to see which ones I got

I spoke with ESS, they recommend at least a 50/50 or 30/70 coolant split. Since I didnt do this, I'll say that's what contributed to it. Its rare because they said they havnt seen it happen yet so dont worry too much about it. yeah once I get the new one in I'll throw some pics of it on here. I'm also taking the valve covers off to powder coat them. Might as well

Price for the plenum seems pretty reasonable. Does it come with new velocity stacks too? If it does consider having the old stacks modified for boost and IAT sensors to sell. Recoup some of your $.

It doesn't come with velocity stacks no, but im getting the new ones for very good deal.

That's exactly what I was going to do. I have one Awron Stack and I was gonna just have my local machine shop modify the original ones like the Awron version. I was also thinking of doing it for even the new ones for meth in the future, still on the fence about it though.

This won’t help you or me, but maybe for others.

I have the same issue, cracked IC. Smaller leak than yours. But I use 50/50 red coolant.

5 years and 20 000 km, not winter driven.
Didn’t see that coming. 😅

yikessss...Sorry to hear man. I wish it was serviceable. Its nearly impossible to find on the used market too
