Well, the day did not go as planned. I run the ESS G1 and been having belt slip at high RPM gear change so I bought a belt that was 5mm shorter new belt tensioner and while in there change out the alternator as PM. Well, the alternator was the easiest one I have ever done. The top bolt comes out when I took off my charger so that was no biggie, the bottom I backed out about 1 inch and taped it back in with a hammer and WHAM she was out. That easy. Put her all back together start her up and The F*CK!n footwell module fails! Can't even put the car in drive without the seat belt clicked. I notice a slapping sound so I pop the hood and the AC belt is coming apart right in front of me. Now I take a ride to the dealer to see if they will fix the FWM under warranty (I have 45k mikes and its 2011MY). The service rep looked up my VIN and told me I was 60 days out of warranty. I really did not want them poking around my car anyway due to noting being stock and they would flash it back to stock with my ess kit. So I pick up some belts, two just in case something went wrong. I get home to some red valve covers I got from a member on here (I haven't opened the box yet because I will want to put them on right away. So I throw on the new belt and take her around the block with the BIG RED CAR ON A LIFT on my dash to see if I still get the slip and chirping sound during shifts............. Nope its all smooth, I even hit 7.5 psi. It would always slip and I would never see 7 PSI, So if you are experiencing slip try the smaller belt made for the Porche (Continental 6PK 2115) the one that came with my kit is a 6PK 2120. So I took out the FWM and overnighted to a well-known tuner with hopes that he will make it happen. If not I will buy a new one and try to get someone to remotely code it to my car.

Yes, its a wrap. It's satin black. I did it myself, it was my first time trying to wrap anything. I did ok but I plan to wrap it again within the next year once I finish all mods.

Installed some front splitters. Ebay price/quality, but fitment was decent. I think it's worth it since I'll likely scrape or crack them anyway. I am getting way too OCD here for ebay parts, but has anyone tried using black aquarium silicone sealant to fill out small gaps between a lip and bumper?

Went into limpmode after I spilled some brake fluid on my brake vacuum sensor.
Everybody told me I have to buy the complete vacuum line with a sensor for 200$ It's a 15$ fix! I checked the part number on my pressure sensor and found a MAP sensor from a Z4 with the exact same part number on eBay (besides the production date) for 15$! Immediately I heard that the pump stoped working overtime. Have been driving it for a week now, no codes, no limpmode. |
