CEL Codes 0027BB 002737 00CDA8 - Low Pressure Fuel Sensor?

Got a bunch of codes the other day and with the pandemic, don't want to go to my normal mechanic cause they are too far and I don't want to sit in the waiting room all day. Looking to go local and walk home just don't trust a local mechanic.

A couple of threads pointed 0027BB to the low-pressure fuel sensor. Does that sound right?

Car year is 2008

BMW part 13537614317

Bosch 0261230348

And do I need to change the supply line too? FCP says part won't fit without a new line but then part with the line doesn't seem to fit the car.

No need to replace the line. Look at your current sensor--it should be going into an adapter and the adapter goes into the fuel line.

Any idea of how many hours of labor? Trying out a new mechanic and want to make sure they aren't ripping me off.

Its a 30 mins DIY job; just let your sit over night or relieve the fuel pressure some how. I guess a mechanic would charge you 1 or 2 hours worth of labor.

Does the Bosch part look right? The new shop wants to run a pressure test on the line and won't accept the codes I pulled as pointing to that part. They want me to drop it off tomorrow, smells expensive already.

Is the e90 DIY the same as for M3? Thanks again

More confused on Bosch vs BMW part number. I'm leaning BMW one so don't need the adapter the bosch one seems to need.

Just get the Bosch and save money; its the same sensor.

Yes that's the adapter. Look at your current sensor and see if you need it or not before you order it.

The brass ones do not require an adapter. The newer silver ones do. You can do it yourself as long as you are mechanically inclined enough to know what end of a hammer (in this case wrench) you are supposed to use, super easy.

I really should have done this myself. Just dropped car off at a new spot and think they are going to screw me on cost. Place was chock full of older beautiful BMWs but that is prob going to cost a premium. Idk. Thanks all for your advice

Hate mechanics. 4.5 hours in and hasn't looked at it, run diagnostics, nothing. Said he has to smoke the engine, look for vacuum leaks, cause they can trigger these codes. While that may be true it is more than likely this simple fix. Wish I bit the bullet and went to my normal guy or did it myself. SO annoyed.

Long story short mechanic found nothing wrong codes no longer show. Being at 60k going to try this one myself.

Found some info that might help others, Bosch kit 13537622231KT includes the adapter and o-ring.

According to BMW TIS the Bosch one should be used over the BMW one manufactured by Sensata.
