Ohlins R&T - Rear EDC Spacer Issue
I have reached out to Ohlins USA to confirm if there is an issue with this EDC spacer or if there is something wrong, will update if I hear back.
This is the issue I am having, the included edc spacer is not going down the shock as far enough as I think it needs to. After checking the instructions multiple times, I cleaned the surfaces and applied some grease I decided to just use the nut push it down, it has become stuck and is taking too much force to push further (past the torque spec on the instructions), so I aborted, not wanting to do any damage to the shock. So something must be wrong? Without the edc spacer going all the way down and contacting the supplied hardware the shock mount will move up and down the shock and that can't be right. The kit being installed is brand new. The fronts fit great Picture explaining the issue. This picture is from a for sale ad which looks like the spacer easily went down further and didn't get stuck (parts were removed for sale).

Something may be off. I have Ohlins R&T and the EDC spacer slid all the way down the shock freely. I didnt have to use the nut to force it down.

I ended up buying non-edc mounts and waiting for them while the car was down and also bought a puller tool to remove the stuck on spacer. But if the spacer was right, I shouldn't have had to waste the time and effort.

Just ran into the exact same issue and thankfully found this thread. Swapped on non-EDC upper mounts (737 and 738) and everything is good to go.
Ohlins needs to know they're shipping out parts that don't fit.
