Weird DCT paddle behavior after upgrade
I have a ‘13 E92 with DCT. I bought some extended shift paddles and installed them today. I had difficulty removing the airbag from the steering wheel, but other than that everything went smoothly—or so I thought. Now, the car doesn’t respond at all to the paddles, except that the upshift paddle blows the horn.
 What could cause something as crazy as this? I did disconnect the battery negative terminal before I started work. Thanks for helping restore my sanity. Steve in NC |

Mine didn't blow the horn but I can't upshift or downshift on the fly without maybe pressing hard or pressing normally twice. But when I change my paddles and playing with those small ball bearings. It needs to be repositioned. That's the only place where I think it's not shifting like it used too.

Probably pinched a wire when you reinstalled the airbag.
