Urgent help needed: Ess G1 with Akra Evo
Here is the thing, we installed the g1 kit. Bolt on.
First run, car hesitated quite a bit, we changed the plugs and coils, which solved the issue. Second run, we changed the oem exhaust setup to akra evolution with test pipes, now it runs just 1.2 sec faster than a stage 2 m3, which is obviously not good. I have ess tune, they say logs are great and akra x pipe is really restricted, which i find weird ? It has test pipes,100cell race cats and silencer. They say oem x pipe flows better than the akra evo x pipe. I would like hear your thoughts on the x pipe and my car running just 1.2 sec faster than a stage 2 e92 m3 ? I use small pulley and meet the requirements. |

Can you get the car dyno'd?
You say '1.2 seconds faster than a stage 2 m3'. 1.2 seconds faster to what? |

What kind of acceleration improvements were you expecting? The improvements you've gotten seem reasonable. |

Right know i am going 8.8 sec to 60-130 which is poor compared to data below. I am cattless and running 93 octane with 2 bottle of torco accelerator which equals to 98-100 octane. 5.95 - VT3M33 / E92 M3 DCT / ESS VT4 800 - Built Motor / 97 octane / 3 shifts 6.14 - DLSJ5 / E92 M3 DCT / ESS VT750 SC - Built Motor / 100 Octane / 3 shifts 6.16 - Madsex343 /E92 M3 DCT / ESS VT600 / 94 octane / 3 shifts 6.23 - Mikewads / E92 M3 DCT / ESS VT600 SC, 100shot Nitrous 3rd on/93oct/3 shifts 6.36 - Gpower / E92 M3 6-MT / Gpower SKIII SC - Built Motor / 1 shift 6.46 - M&M / E92 M3 DCT / ESS VT625 / Raised Rev Limiter / 94 Octane/ WM / 3 shifts 6.56 - Tom@EAS / E92 M3 DCT / VF620 SC / 91/100 mix / 2 shifts 6.57 - Evolve - Lost Marine / DCT E92 M3 / Evolve E625 SC / 93 Octane/Catless / 3 Shifts 6.75 - IMG / E90 M3 6-MT / ESS VT725 SC- Built Motor / 93 octane / 1 shift 6.78 - Mikewads / E92 M3 DCT / ESS VT600 SC / 93 octane / 3 shifts 6.80 - DLSJ5 / E92 M3 DCT / ESS VT625 SC / 95 octane / WM / 3 shifts 6.96 - Tightie / E92 M3 6-MT / Gintani Stage 3 SC - Built Motor / 91 octane / WM / 2 shifts 6.98 - M33 / E92 M3 DCT/ ESS VT650 SC / 93 octane/ WM / 3 shifts 7.06 - DLSJ5 / E92 M3 DCT / Gintani Stage 2 SC / 91 octane / WM / 3 shifts 7.52 - IMG / E90 M3 6-MT / ESS VT625 SC / 93 octane / 2 shifts 7.58 - Pencilgeek / E92 M3 6-MT / R46 Stroker ESS VT600 SC / 3.15 gears / 100 octane / 1 shift 8.31 - biglare / E90 M3 DCT / ESS VT575 SC / 3.62 Gears / 91 Octane / 2 shifts 8.95 - sammyrusso / E92 M3 DCT / Gintani Stage 1 SC / 91 Octane / 3 shifts 9.00 - EugeneTawain / E92 M3 6-MT / Gpower SKII SC / 91 Octane / 2shifts |

Hi bud, 1st of all there are so many variables in running a time. 1.2 seconds is a fair margin and there are countless factors than need to be leveled before you can compare 2 times run by 2 cars in 2 different locations in different ambient connects and roads with different slops.
2ndly, 8.8 is a decent time for your 1st attempt. Those times on that list are after loads of testing and fine tuning and changes. Fuel, mix, right road with legal slope but not uphill, which gear to start the run, shift points, tyres, cooling mods, elevation etc. If you run the cars back to back on the same road, that would be a good starting point to a meaningful comparison. |

Half the cars on that list had a arka exhaust ... that’s not your problem.

Who is "They"?
Akra is not the issue, lets just say I know a guy that swaps his exhaust back to stock to pass state inspection and with stock exhaust car is way slower. This guy also has a SC M3 with full Akra evo system. And 4psi? I think you might have a boost leak, what does your AFR look like at WOT?

Like others have said, that is a record list. They're records for a reason. Assuming you can just replicate it to verify your kit works correctly is not a good plan. |

Update
We think there is a leak at the fuel breather valve, we will check this tomorrow and finally will be able to run with 7.5psi boost. For the record, when i compared my 60-130 run with the list, I thought that my car was running with the correct boost. Now, i am pretty sure when this is issue will be solved, my 60-130 run will be very good. As of now with 4psi, i am running 8.8 sec to 60-130, additional 3.5psi should make around 100 hp right ? |

Okay,
Boost gauge reads 0.50 bar max. Small pulley, with 91octane mix with 2 bottle of 1liter torco which equals to 98 octane. 6mt, 3rd to 4th pull. |

I didn't see a 60-130 on that graph you showed. Quote:

I haven't measured 60-130 miles. This is 100-200 km/h. Usually you add approximately 1 sec to 100-200km/h to find 60-130 mp/h |

Ok keep at it and document each run, ambients, fuel, fuel level, exact road and location, tyres, etc. Basically keep a journal of all your runs.
