Low Fuel Pressure Sensor! 27CE Code!

Hey guys I got a CEL and it was for a 27CE code. I did some research and it all pointed to the low fuel pressure sensor. This sensor is very easy to access and as you can see by the video it resolved all my issues! Let me know if you have any questions . And please subscribe to get more content on all my M3s!

Replaced mine couple weeks ago, orig was brass so I replaced it with the brass part but code kept coming back for a few days so I replaced it with the newer non brass type and that apparently solved my issue

Hmm can't say I had that same experience. Didn't even know there was a different material version haha. I'm just glad it was a simple fix! And great that your car worked after trying the other material version. The car is smooth again and pulls all the way to redline again so I'm happy .

Good video! Also it's recommended to replace with new updated Bosch silver sensor along with the associated adaptor for fitment, had to do this a year ago on my ///M3

Warning to all of the earlier build 08/09 and some 10 owners:

If your car was fitted with the brass sensor, the connection at the rail differs from vehicles produced in the later model years.

The newer silver colored sensor has a different taper at the bottom near the threaded part where it secures to the rail.

For this reason it is ESSENTIAL to purchase the adapter for the rail which converts the rail into having a properly matched taper compatible with the newer sensor.

You can install the newer sensor in the older rail without the adapter, and as a result of this, I'm sure the necessity of having this adapter is commonly overlooked. Without being directly informed beforehand, it's very unlikely this would be caught during installation.

We also recommend replacing the o-ring there as well.

My 2011 has the brass sensor. That seems weird? No error codes but having a cold start issue related to the car losing fuel pressure sitting overnight.

Hello, sorry if I’m going over an issue which has already been reported on here.

I think I’m having the same issue with my low pressure fuel sensor and have ordered one to replace it.
Is it possible does anyone know that this issue can cause the car to throw up other fault codes such as misfires etc or am I dealing with something more severe?

Sometimes I get all sorts of codes. Fuel pump , abs etc etc
Take off the negative lead on the battery and reset , clear the codes with an obd and it’s all ok for a few weeks and then sometimes the same thing all over again.

I have had frm trouble which I had re done from being bricked and I’m afraid if I keep removing the negative terminal to clear my faults I will end up with a bricked frm again.

So will change fuel pressure sensor for Bosch with adapter and see if it helps.

Any other thoughts I’d love to hear from you.
