I've been having an issue with my steering wheel vibrating for the last 3 months. I went to replace my strut mount and noticed my end link was bent. That wasn't what was causing the vibration but thank God I discovered it. I replaced the end link today and all is right in the world again. Replacing the strut mount fixed my issue and I'm really happy about it. Getting a tune this week too.

Depending where you live, Costco gas is usually supplied by Shell

Interesting, I was always under the impression that Costco Gas has no additives or detergents in it. Do you think it's Shell's same formula with v power?

Noise of some sort I didn't recognise... turned out there was part of some rubber seal in the fan, couldn't figure from where. Fan was clearly needing lube regardless, hard to tell what the noise was coming from but now gone. Happy again!

Easy as making a cup of coffee if you have the knowledge.

Very very easy. Autocouture installed along with the IND “Limited Edition” Push start button and eisenmann race. Took fairly quick

I wear cycling gloves to keep the steering wheel mint

15 mins.

Flathead to both sides to remove airbag, a 15 or 16mm bolt holding the wheel on, a few torx holding the faceplate, buttons, paddles. Keep the car turned off or it might throw an airbag code (a little harder to get rid of).

M-button just involves taking apart that right side button cluster.

Good time to refinish or replace a faceplate if that soft-touch is peeling

I'm on round 5 of trying to refinish my wheel trim... I have two trims, so when I got a new wheel, I changed the original to the lightly used backup... Well, I scratched the soft touch trying to take out the airbag and didn't realize until after it was reinstalled, so I tried to wrap the other backup in vinyl.... installed and, a few days in the sun two months ago, the wrap starts peeling/warping where the M sticker is located due to its sharp sides... last try this weekend.. spent a long time and sanded the backup down as I watched football, took forever (to me at least). After it was sanded and ready, painted it with flat black paint per the recommendations on here.. some sort of shit got in the wet paint literally seconds later. ruined. I would just pay OEM all day long, but I he damn OEM trim blows.

One of the few draw backs with owning an M3V8 - you can't afford furnitures...

I always feel like I'm a better driver than I actually am. It was a show off fail, for sure.
