Are These Prices Crazy

Just left the shop and was quoted what I listed below. Seems extreme but would like some input from people that know better than me. As you can all see $3500 seems extreme for an 08 with 36k miles. Thank you!

Replace & Register Battery - $441.50
Missing Cable Hangar Front Bumper & 5 Screws - $96
Replace Transmission Oil Pan & Reseal - $653.42
Replace Trans Cooler Line Block Seal - $486.00
Oil Change - $220.00
Power Steering Pump Replacement - $1384.32

Below are my very recent prices and info from my Indy shop which is a German car shop, lots of M car experience and very honest pricing... for the Trans service, I bought parts and just paid labor...

Replace & Register Battery - $441.50
(I paid 250 for interstate battery installed and coded)

Missing Cable Hangar Front Bumper & 5 Screws - $96
(not sure)

Replace Transmission Oil Pan & Reseal - $653.42
(DCT? If so, you would probably want new filter, fluid, gaskets, pan, etc... DCT fluid is crazy expensive. I used the ECS kit and had it installed..kit was $450 or so, plus install of $200 to do the work)

Replace Trans Cooler Line Block Seal - $486.00
(not sure)

Oil Change - $220.00
(probably High again here based on my ~$170 for LiquiMoly full service)

Power Steering Pump Replacement - $1384.32
(no clue, but based on the other prices you got, I'd check and make sure... probably High)

Hope this helps a little, but you might need to make sure what the Trans service includes, whether DCT or 6MT, fluids, etc..

I replaced battery (same type/size) myself and registered.. $250 ish for the battery from AutoZone, 20 bucks for programming cable, a free battery register program.

oil changed at BMW dealership for less than $250 with twin power 10-60(this one runs very quiet)+ bunch of additives they put in.

Oil change and DCT Pan prices look correct. Probably includes fresh DCT-F as well.

Trans cooler line block seal if that means the O rings coming off the tranny to the cooler lines that’s astronomical and the PS pump could be ball park depending on where they are sourcing the pump.

Can you confirm the exact parts, fluid and other components of the Transmission service? also, if you read my response, you didn't specify DCT or 6MT

My bad, it is a DCT, it just says replace power steering pump as it’s leaking. The other one just says Oil cooler line Block On Passenger side of trans is leaking and oil pan of transmission is leaking.

Do you have any other shops around you? just seems a little "off" based on some of the prices... always worth a second check... Never know when your being hustled.

for example, my old shop, was a performance BMW specialist with top reviews. I had used them for 5 years ... I had an oil leak, they claimed it was the valve cover gaskets.. I didn't buy it and took it to another shop near my office. Ended up being OFHG and since then, the leak is totally gone... saved me a lot of headache.
