Took out my E92 after 3 weeks of Noah cover protection from the rain.

My god, the car feels like a boat compared to my Euro E36 M3! Every transition is so slow but the turn-in is oddly good probably due to a shorter engine and low CoG.

Oh, also had good fun bursting everyone's eardrums with catless Eisenmann race.
Hooligan to the root.

I switched my aluminum out for sycamore and love it. It is almost 1lb heavier than the aluminum because, humorously enough, the main sycamore dash piece is backed by a heavy die cast aluminum plate instead of the plastic on the brushed aluminum trim

I like the sycamore because it’s an E9x M3 exclusive trim and the sap in the grain sparkles in direct sun it’s a really unique veneer

I’ll put up more and a video later but I’m super happy with it. Barely louder than stock which is all I wanted, but a great note with nice depth. Really well constructed with perfect fitment, and clean looks (esp the Black Series) that doesn’t scream aftermarket. Check IG.

Yup, good call. I'm still trying to decide whether to get the bearings done right away or wait until later in the summer. It's an '08 e90 with 60k miles. Recent oil test was clean and car runs/sounds great.
Well if you're spending the money to get it done anyway then imo do it right away. Have the extra peace in mind
I was nervous and superstitious that my bearings would fail on the way to getting them done (of course not - what would be the odds?). But if you're thinking about it, don't delay. Pull that trigger.
Yeah, I think you guys are right. I called my indie shop guy yesterday to get a quote for the bearings and motor mounts. Figure might as well get the mounts done while on the operating table.

Richbot I feel like you and I are somewhat kindred spirits. I was this close to going 220m square based on your posts but went to the dark side and have a square set of 359s coming next week. My new to me M came with sycamore anthracite and although it wouldn’t have been how I spec’d a new build I have to admit I really like it as far as wood trim goes. It is a unique cut of veneer. I keep on thinking Alu or Titanium Shadow would be more sporty but I also have to admit the wood is kinda cool and happens to go well with my jet black and bamboo beige combo. I’m also 41 so don’t feel the need for my M to be a total boy racer spec. Put the edc in sport plus and mash the pedal and trim is the furthest thing from your mind.

Got my AC recharged while at it for free. Found out why it was very low, my high pressure cap was loose as if someone was there, no leaks anywhere else.

Nope, the cap is a dust shield and has nothing to do with leak proofing the valve, if your schrader was loose it wouldn't have stood a chance... when your ac is on the high side pressure is about 230psi! Your leak will be your evaporator, plan on recharging it again in the not to distant future.

I think my compressor is also failing. I can hear it making an odd clicking noise that my other friends M3s don't make

Is it still clicking after the recharge? If you’re low the system will turn on and off (clicking).

I'll check and update in a bit.

Got gas, parked car in garage again.

Need to clean the interior sometime later today also

Eh, it's one of those "I don't really care, but just making sure it's not broken" things, if the sounds gone, then it's fine

i have a set of extra titanium nuts now because i forgot to order flanged nuts for the strut braces. i think i'm going to use them for the exhaust mounts if they are the same thread... i'm also going to be looking into replacing the m12 nuts that secure the impact bumpers on the front/rear of the car. i believe there are twelve total, but i want to confirm before i order as they are more money than i want to spend for nuts i can't use. i think there are also bolts that secure the tow hooks i want to take a look at.
if there are twelve M12 nuts, the weight savings might add up to about a half a pound. do i sound nuts?
Did you end up buying anymore Ti-parts?

not since the strut braces. i did have some extra non-flanged titanium nuts that i accidentally ordered for my strut braces and i used four of them for the rear exhaust side hangers when i swapped my titanium exhaust back on a couple weeks ago.
next time i have time to work on the car, i need to install my karbonius plenum and have a look at the bumper supports... should about twelve pretty hearty M12 nuts plus smaller unknown size bolts for the rear tow hook mount.

Makes sense, I got mine replaced when I got the rod bearings done. Seems like everyone gets them done at the same time
