Pretty sure I did the same on my old 335i and never had any issues with buttoning things up after.
Thanks! I'm gonna see what I can do, just need to get the combox side housing!

I also left the helper spring off. Try giving it 2 weeks, that's about when I got used to it and really noticed how much better it is. Regarding the pedal covers, yes, it is pretty much just cosmetic but certainly looks much better.

Where do you have the pin? I put mine in the middle hole.

Originally I had the pin In the furthest hole, then I tried it closest to the pedal, then I just took it off all together. The only traffic I come across is weekend traffic, so shouldn't be too aggressive. Mines an older m3 where it only has one helper spring, yours must be a newer one where it has two? I just drove it again, it does feel good especially with the new short shifter.. feels more racecar for sure..

Yeah, I removed the larger outer spring which was recommended in the instructions and left the smaller inner spring in place.

I also installed the F10 M5 knob which is shorter and a little heavier. Combined, I think it has greatly improved shifting and has significantly reduced notchyness.

Received some IND parts, and a new trim from a poster on here. Alpine tune arrives tomorrow. unfortunately, I now have no left front mirror after an unfortunate highway issue, so I'm just going to frown and not do a damn thing.

I think it's 7 years or 70k, which mine is way out of..year wise.

Stuck in stop and go dc metro traffic for 3 hours. One of the rare times I ask myself why the hell I took the m3 keys off the shelf rather than my wife's suv.

what are you doing driving into DC metro in the first place?

i can only drive my M3 (since my wife can't drive manual, we can't swap cars)
i commute through LA traffic everyday but i've pretty much become a robot so i don't even really think about it
