Not a fan of the E93, but hearing the exhaust with the top down is something special

This is one of the reasons I love my E93 so much. I know everyone doesn't like it, but there's no denying that there are things the E93 offers that you can't get in an E90/E92.

I do often wish I'd gone with an e93 since I don't track this car or use it for kids...

I would buy an e93. especially since they usually run cheaper than the coupe or sedan.

I would love to experience this...

but let me tell you I believe I got a slight glimpse into the life of that of a vert. I have an E90 and last night at around 930pm i decided to use the sunroof that has cobwebs on the button because i never use it.

Dropped that sucker all the way back, turned the heater on very low setting directing toward my feet (I had sandals on but I drove barefoot.. dont hate until you drive stick barefoot its magical!) , put the seat heater on.. super comfy... dropped babe into 3rd and let her howl.. and I could actually hear it from a perspective I have never heard my car... made me think holy shit.. verts have it good in that sense...

Exactly, I'm not tracking it, I'm pampering it, so the performance is good enough with a much better sound experience 😁

Regarding the video, less talking and more engine/tranny note would have been better.

Also better if he had gone into a tunnel with that vert. I almost blew out my ear drums onetime when I blipped in a tunnel.

Why I'm in an E93. If I need a track scalpel I'll take my S2000.

I'm a huge fan of my E93, on a beautiful weekend dropping the top and listening to my Meisterschaft exhaust scream!!

I'm not a fan of convertibles, but I ended up with a e93 due to the fact it was a 6MT I came across at the time. I really wanted a e92 with CF roof, but findings at the time were all DCT (yes I understand the transmission is quicker, but I'm a stick guy) so I compromised and opted for a hardtop. No idrive, no EDC, pretty much base model. Though there are nice features out there, I personally don't feel the need to have them.

Initially, I wanted something to boost/toy around with, but I was in a dilemma on replacing my daily driven e46. I know guys with 335i and there whole JB4 set-ups, but I decided to settle with the M3. May not be the quickest, but it is sure fun to drive.

I would say the biggest perk is the sound of the engine escaping through the exhaust. I had a Borla S-Type and now a CNT rear section with stock mid-pipe, aFe intake and the sound is intoxicating. However, I do want to make it louder, debating on test pipes or catless x pipe with a tune.

I don't drop the top as much, only when the kiddo asks during a weekend drive. I don't track the car regularly, however I've done track time on a few rally events I participated in and was surprised on well it handled despite the extra weight. It's casually driven daily to and from work, but when its time to punch it onto the highway or spirited driving it puts a smile on my face, and that's what matters.
