M3(e92) and Galaxy S10 Plus problem
Hey all,
I am having a problem using my GS10+ with my car. The car finds and pairs fine with the phone but trying to play music or making a call doesn't work. It hangs. The display shows that it's trying to connect to the phone but after a while the phone disappears from the list of phones as if it was never paired. Anyone with the new Galaxy tried to connect it? |

What TX software are you running? I had the same issue with my S9+ when I first got the car. Would connect for a few seconds, make a weird high pitched sound and then disconnect.
Checked the BMW website with my VIN and it said I had the latest software, but I actually didn't. Ended up using a VIN from a different car to get the file. I believe UPD1008 is the latest. Everything works fine now. |

I just got an e92 m3 a couple weeks ago and have been having similar issues pairing to my Galaxy note8. It is actually exactly as mech engineer described above with the high pitched sound right before the disconnect, and then all connected phones disappear.
I finally got mine working, and the phone itself seems to be the issue. I did a cache partition wipe on the phone and I was able to use Bluetooth for phone calls and music today without any disconnects. I'm really glad it is finally working, but I wonder how often the cache will need to be cleared.. You should give this a try on your s10+: https://www.bestusefultips.com/how-t...on-galaxy-s10/ |

Well I spoke too soon, the cache partition wipe only lasted one day...
I am back in the same boat as OP. I haven't had any luck with updating the software. MechEngineer, would you mind posting your MX/TX numbers? |

Thanks for sharing.
Mine is: MX-002-005-022 TX-002-005-022 Mine must be out of date. I downloaded the UPD1008 file onto a flash drive formatted to fat32 and tried to update in the car, but I always get a message saying the software is not compatible. Did you have to do anything special to get the update to work for your car? |
