Kind of interesting that they are all made in a relatively small geographical region.

Actually the Gigafactory is in Nevada (just outside Reno). This is where the batteries are made in partnership Panasonic.

I read a different article saying Corvette was #1. Need to find it. I guess they looked at slightly different criteria.

No, I wasn't kidding. The chassis for all 3 models are made in California. Battery made in Nevada. Not sure the country sourcing for the electric motors and the converter. I figured the Model S was at least 85% USA sourced. The American Labeling Act determines USA content by dollar value of the components, and considering the Teslas are built at the old NUMMI factory in Fremont, CA not sure why they are not on the list.
Google search shows 55% for Model 3. Articles from 2014 had speculated the Model 3 at 85%. Like I said, interesting.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
