Is hydro dipping where they submerge the part and it picks up the material which is floating on the surface?

That is correct.
The trim pieces were sanded and prepped, dipped then clear coated and buffed.

Do you have the rear trim in the back seat as well ? I currently have the brushed aluminum one

The rear is still the aluminum because it is of the type with the deep grooves and it would clash horribly with the graphics without a lot of filler and prep work.
