Error Code 2B28 after replacing both TAs

Coming back as a "throttle return springs Test bank 2" error. I replaced both TAs four days ago with rebuilds from Jason in the UK

The original errors with with Bank 2 as well, but replaced both and cleared codes and all was well until this morning. Getting the above error, and limp mode.

Some research seems to suggest that throttle position sensors on the rail may be an issue? Can anyone help point me in the right direction.

Could the rebuild TA be bad? Or am l looking at something else. Car is all buttoned back up again, so want to get a solid plan before i take everything back apart.

Thanks

Swap the throttle actuators bank to bank to see if the code comes back and on which bank.

I was afraid that might be the next step... pain in the ass after having everything apart and back together again.

thanks

Imagine swapping actuators twice just to find out the rear plug on the tps wasnt plugged in all the way. Guess which genius did that.

Don't feel so bad. My dealer did something similar last fall when they replaced one of my TA's (free under the emissions CA warranty in my state). I think as those connectors age they get a little more reluctant to go back together.

Yes the position sensors have been known to be faulty. Often times not plugged in all the way at the sensor or at the connector lead a few inches up. They also need to be calibrated if replaced.
