FCP is the best place to purchase oil. They have a lifetime warranty on all of their products. I'm not being condescending, I just want to make sure I am being clear and therefore I have spelled out all of the steps below.
1)You pay for the oil. 2)They ship it to you. 3)You put the oil in your car. 4)You drive the car. 5)When you are ready for an oil change you order/pay for new oil. 6)They ship it to you. 7)You remove your old oil and ship it back to them including filter and gaskets. 8)Once received they reimburse you for the payment you just made for this batch of oil. 9)Rinse and repeat. You literally pay for oil, filter and gaskets one time and you have a lifetime supply of it. It's that simple and easy. They even have a how to video on their website. The only question would be can you change the oil yourself. The answer is yes. There are a few steps involved but it is painless and fun. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...11427837997kit https://www.fcpeuro.com/page/lifetime-guarantee |

You can definitely do that. But purchase it from FCP and you will never pay again. When I say I do it myself what I really mean is that I have my buddy SohoE93 do it. But don't tell him I said that or next time he may make me do it.
Lastly that is the Oil of preference for most M3 owners that is in the attachment. I'm sure you can contact FCP and change it out with LiquiMoly if you wanted to. But I recommend the Turbo oil in the attachment. |

I had to click on this thread just to see if it was a real legit question, or a troll post. Sad it was legit.....
Here's what I've found so far. My car, bearings replaced at 90k miles. I have used; LM- multiple clean oil reports, car functions as expected. Motul- multiple clean oil reports, car functions as expected. Ravenol- multiple clean oil reports, car functions as expected. TWS- multiple clean oil reports, car functions as expected. I've never noticed any difference in performance, noise, or oil consumption between any of these 4 oils. They all operate at the same temps. No anomalies in data. Just get 10w60 in whatever brand you chose, and change it frequently. I do 6k oil changes.

Went to indy for some other maintenance items and they did a Liqui Moly oil change (225 USD, WTF). Now my engine has a faint "bag of metal shit 'n bits" sound that it didn't with Castrol or Shell as others have reported.
After the upcoming track weekend, going back to the Shell TwinPower Turbo 10w-60. It was lovely in all aspects, especially for track days. Never got above 220 on a 80F day and about 25 minute sessions. |

I personally find it cheaper to mix two bottles of 5w30 into one bottle and use that since
5w30 x 2 = 10w60 Last edited by EJT86; 05-07-2018 at 07:19 AM.. |

I usually run Liqui Moly 10W60 but my last oil change I went to Castrol just because it's all I had close to me, and did it myself instead of taking it to my Indy Service Tech. Needed an oil change bad. Forgot my last interval time
