New Throttle Actuators, now 2754, 2755

Hello All,
Today I replaced my throttle actuators, car ran great. Went to move it several hours later and now have codes 2754, 2755. New coils, plugs etc. I can clear them and engine momentarily clears up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thats the codes that are being thrown. I understand they are new, I am questioning the install. Make sure everything is buttoned down.

Let us know how it goes..

So far the other codes haven't popped back up after your check on the install?

If so great..

Dave

Oh well

Well, It wasn't the 02 sensor and it isn't plugs/coils. Swapped with non-coding cylinders with no change. Left it running for a long period of time. Had a small "pop" from somewhere and car started running fine. Clean revs, cleared codes and car ran good. Cut it off and have same codes... No clues from INPA, although I am struggling with the German.

Going to swap cam position sensors.....

...cont'd

Not the cam position sensors. Pulled bank one fuel rail and swapped injectors around....not there. Ran compression on 2 and 3, 155 both cylinders. Engine still clears out and runs smooth for a few seconds after clearing codes. Rechecked electrical plugs and wiring.

Rhyary, haven't called Motor Power M Sports yet. Guess I'll finally stop and ask for directions.

Going to swap the new actuators just in case one is bad.

Codes did not follow Actuators (they passed precheck anyway).

Going to dig out the IAC this afternoon.

On a positive note, my German is getting better

Interested in the solution for this as well. I'm getting code 2754 after running the car for about a week of changing the throttle body actuators.

Not sure what this guys fix was but I recently bought new 3rd party TA’s with ECS gear upgrades from ECS Tunning and they didn’t work. The gears are a little too tight and bind a little. If you have INPA you can plug in and test the TA’s. The test will open both banks, close and then slowly open all the way. If they don’t, check your plugs are actually all the way in the TA’s. I eventually got my money back and bought new TA’s from another supplier and all was good. Only my experience though. I would just go BMW parts here looking back in retrospect.

Thanks for reply and info man! It actually ended up being super simple.

Incase anyone else sees this for error codes 2754 & 2755 - my issue was a slightly loose ground on the back of the valve cover.
