Got the car out for the first time since last year when I put here away. I put on the my 4X (275/30/19 PS4S on 19x9.5 220M) and drove around with some other guys for ~120 miles. Loved the new rubber and the square setup.

Has anyone seen an emblem get worn out like this for the engine vanity stuff? I can only assume a previous owner, or maybe a dealer, used some serious chemicals to clean it. Easy to replace and now when I pop the hood I don't have to look at that sad M.

Bought a Blackvue DR750s dashcam to protect the investment. Will install it some upcoming weekend. Subscribe for a "bad driver" youtube video 1 year out from now.

Finished installing my water pump, thermostat, and temp sensor. My wp was making an awful noise and the wp pulley was pretty wobbly when I looked at it while the engine was running, so it was time to switch it out. Just took the car for the test drive and it runs great, no more worrying about the water pump!

One of the biggest wins was getting the old thermostat out of the t stat housing... if I would have known how much of a b**** it was going to be, I would have just bought a new housing...

Thanks Scarbag, interesting. Updated mine a couple of years ago by paying a guy for the code. Don't use my nav as google map is soo much easier but will give this a go just for the fun of it!

As explained to me (I had the work done), the procedure was wash, clay, first buff, second buff, sealant. Products unknown. This is excellent work by a local guy in his garage, as recommended by member Theodore. And priced right, including wheel detailing, at $300. People comment now, "Wow, it looks a lot darker!" -- I assume because the spider marks, swirl marks, and light scratches are gone. The multi-color character of JB also jumps in the sunlight. Many thanks to meticulous Chad, who clearly takes pride in his work.

Today reinstalled a freshly cleaned BMC filter and tried an easy fix for my stripped holes in the lower air box 😉 you cut small zip tie ends and shove them in the stripped holes and then put the screws in it works better then I expected

Is that price the norm? That seems awfully cheap considering what was done.

I did exactly the same thing when I had my air box out to lube my throttle linkage a couple of days ago.
The zip tie ends gave just the right amount of bite.
