Here in South Africa a chipped 335i at the coast is much quicker than an E92 M3 on the 1/4 mile (bring the two up to altitude then its just murder)... but an ///M3 is the total packge and not just straight line performance ... driving an ///M3 is an experience which the 335i no matter how fast it is will accomplish, thats why i will sell my 335i for the ///M3 ... i do miss the ///M, even though the 335i stock for stock is quicker than the E92 M3 here where I am staying at altitude my options on other cars ... keep the 335i and chip it and BBS LM it ... get the msport kit for it too C63 AMG Audi R8 (need to stretch a lil bit for this baby) Cayman S Second Hand GT3 porsche MK1 (they pricey still here in South Africa)

996TT is an awesome car with a few mechanical issues. They have some tranny issues that can be frustrating...

You have a lot of choices.. Heres what I would consider...
Z4M Vert. or Coupe Lotus Exige s? I think those are under 70? Low Mileage E60 M5 Low Mileage CPO RS4 or a New RS4 Cayman S Boxster S Used low mileage 997 non-s Used low mileage 997 S Used low mileage 997 S Cabrio (You REally gotta look for these, My brother got lucky with his) Used 2004 996 TT Used Cayenne TT New Cayenne S Upcoming Cayenne GTS Used X5 4.8iS C63 (I Still hate mercedes) Sl ? (Used of course) -My favorite mercedes CTS-V (Motor trend Raves the CTS is such a great car.. I geuss its worth a look?) Range Rover Sport Supercharged 550i Of course the Lexus IS-F But im not a big fan of that silly looking car I dont know.. These are some of the girls that I would put in my garage..

They would be nice to have, but the additional costs must be taken into account. That is one thing that finally pushed me to a brand new car for this range of money.

My GT-R will be here June 2008. I realize that it is a rarity to find one @ MSRP so soon in the game, but I guess I lucked out.

----------------------------------------- I too was considering a GT-R but a few things fell short: 1. the styling (trust me, I tried to love it but, can't) 2. refinement (doesn't touch the M) 3. 3rd party persona (even though I am still young, I need a car to be taken seriously behind the wheel for business reasons. Too boy racer. Not to mention the models in Miami like the M better LOL) 4. interior There is no denying it's a incredible machine in both the speed & handling department though. Flame suit is on.......... |
