Help! Oem exhaust mod question

quick question, i have an oem mod exhaust and I love the sound but I only hear it from 2-4k rpm when driving.. above 4k rpm it dies down and then I get the same stock exhaust sound. is this normal. EAS does the 2 pipe perf method.

thanks!

I did the 2.5 mod and barely notice a difference in the car, especially with the windows up. But go through a tunnel with the windows down full throttle and you will really hear it. My guess is BMW has some killer insulation and it isolates the sound really well. Warm your car up, stand behind it and have a buddy rev it hard, you will be lucky to not pitch a tent!!

thanks for the response! maybe i should just convert it to a 4 pipe mod. i can only hear the low rumble on mine with both windows down and cruising at low speeds for some reason. above 4k rpm and its gone.

It's louder than you think . Let someone drive your car while you listen along the road .You would be surprised how loud it actually is..
I noticed mine sounded louder after +/- 1K miles.

Completely agree. Modded mine several months ago and was initially somewhat disappointed but absolutely love it now.

Loved the 2-pipe for three years. However came to a point where I need a tad more sound.
