I think most people do them when they do the rod bearings.

Looks like local pick-up in Costa Mesa is available too to save shipping and offset the sales tax.

no.... you don't have to wait for a major job like that.
(but def makes sense if you have that work coming up)

They are easy to install as DIY.
All you need is a floor jack to lift/support the engine.

My car only has 42k miles and Blackstone reports look good so I don't plan to do rod bearings til 100k.

I'm not confident in jacking up the engine so I rather pay someone for this specific thing. Stuff like throttle actuators I can do with ease.

I went to the shop today to pick them up. Colin has another stack boxed up ready to be picked up. He gets them about in bulk around 30 at a time, 2-3 times a week; he then has to box them up. and ship them out.

You can decidedly contact the manufacture and try to start a new group buy. I am sure many are interested.

I contact them a few weeks ago and no reply, but if you are able to get the GB running, I'm in for a pair as a spare. I already have a race version on my car and it's great.

Aren't they supposed to be lifetime? Why would you need spares?
