DCT Regulator for oil temperature

My DCT transmission was leaking again and dropped my M3 at the dealer to get the DCT transmission leak repaired. I was assuming that the dealer would cover it under the 24month unlimited warranty. But to my surprise the dealer says the leak is from the " DCT Regulator for oil temperature" part number 17212283787 and would not be covered as it was not a part that was replaced the last time.

And the o-rings for it, part number 17211742636.

I have never come across anyone talking about DCT regulator for oil temperature going bad and I think the dealer is just overcharging to cover up for the repair.

I've seen 1 leak. It was just the o-ring. Never the actual thermostat.

That's what I think as well. It could be the O-ring.
