Really? So overall, did you prefer the 350z to the e9x m3? I think the V6 howl from the Z cars sounds pretty good.. I've never driven one unfortunately.

Well the Z had better steering and a better overall trans feel. But it was also loud, small, cheap inside, and the engine sounded like a coffee grinder at full tilt.

The bmw is much more comfortable and its engine offers so much more. And the M3 manages to fee smaller the faster it's driven, something the Z never could do.

If I had a gun to my head I'd pick the M3, but each car has its charms!

I still want to drive one though. I would love to try out a 370Z. I do love my e90 m3 though. I may actually be in love with it..? Does that sound right?

If you're going to go with coilovers and different wheels get the regular M3. For me the ZCP drop was enough and I like the look of the wheels

I found a 2008 with 110,000 miles on it. Looks like it's good condition but the miles worry me. But then again, the miles add up with how old the car is. What you guys think? Any specific I should look for when buying a used car like that?

Unless you want the most raw experience, the more options, the better. That includes ZCP and all other packages. The question is, is it worth the extra premium? I wanted to have every option ticked off and paid a premium for it.

Better to buy a high mileage car that was properly maintained and driven than a lower mileage car that has been thrashed and had corners cut in maintenance and repairs. Have a thorough PPI conducted before you decide. That high mileage M3 may have already had a lot of the expensive maintenance performed on it.

Interestingly, I ended up buying a car where ZCP was the only package and part of a very small number of individual options (CF cloth trim, BT, and heated seats). Like you, I paid a premium for the car. I just had to have the car, what can I say!

Regarding the necessity of ZCP, I honestly couldn't tell you. I have never driven another e9x M3, so I have no experience. As these cars get older, higher mileage, and more rare due to accidents or mother nature, I would prioritize condition and mileage more than ZCP. I suppose if I was going to do it right, I'd have to drive a car with ZCP and one without to determine if I can feel a difference. I also was interested in buying a car that didn't need much tweaking and so far, the M3+zcp fits the bill nicely.

What is the max you would want to spend? That may answer your questions about what you can get and should be looking for. I recently picked up a 11 w/ comp and most other options with 34k miles for $35k. I got a really great deal so there are a few numbers to give you a reference on what it will cost to get a 11+ with comp and low miles.

The way it?s looking , I wanna spend 25k. I Pretty much need to search for a 08-09. I found some decent ones with 70-90k miles on them.
