The only reason I can think of is installation if you maintain 6 rib or go to 7 rib. Adds an hour to the install. The alternator pulley adds a little to install if you don't have a lift. Some people can pull without a lift but mine required me to come from underneath. Honestly though, maybe 30 minutes. I can't think of a good reason not to go 650.
