I just installed a Harrop S/C myself and I am very happy with my purchase.
Mike from BPM is a swell guy. Had a couple friendly races with a 6 speed Hellcat from 20/40mph to 140+. I pull on him everytime on the hit just enough to see both his headlights on my side mirror and keep him there. I am DCT. I am getting on Evans Tuning Dynopak this week to see what I make. Dont have a baseline though. I was also looking through google images for dynos and found this link that compares to ESS 575 and 625 kits if anyone is interested. http://www.s65dynos.com/showDyno.php?recID=688

You can join the same group of people that said a positive displacement blower would never work on a platform with individual throttle bodies.
Meaning: Many people said Stage I would not happen. It did. And so will Stage II. Last edited by BPMSport; 08-15-2017 at 02:47 PM.. |

My opinion is based on the time it is taking for a real update on this. April 17, 2017, Harrop: "We are working on stage two at the moment , we are actually doing some durability and test at the track today with our time attack M3". May 2, 2017: "It will be a month or two before I have any update at this stage as we have over 3500 pages of information to translate to English from German so it will take some time". I am following this thread even though I am no longer interested in buying this kit. Having the Stage 1 for a "possible" upgrade to Stage 2 isn't really an option for me. Regardless, I do hope they release Stage 2 some day. |

If you really want the big power, I would say the Harrop shouldn't be your first choice. For starters I can't imagine what the noise would be like if this charger was turning faster !! |

Stage 2 will be a nice bonus for me, I'll get it for sure when it comes out. But, for the time being, I think I'll be plenty happy with the Stage 1.
The other local E90 M3 with the Harrop Dynoed 500WHP on just an X-Pipe, so, I reckon, I should be around 510WHP with my Akra Evo. With Stage 2, that'll probably bring it at least 10% more, so, about 560WHP, which, I believe at that point, would put it on par, if not faster, than the VT2-650 Setups? |

To offset the noise, it would have to make more power; that's where the Stage 2 would come in. The main reason I like the Harrop is the OEM looks. Like you said, if power was the main reason, I'd have gone a different route. As far State 2 noise; Harrop, April 10, 2017: "The noise will be potentially increased if anything as it will the stage 2 kit will spin the supercharger faster to create more boost". |

Would really be interested in seeing one of these kits tuned on full e85. The gain from timing increase I think would be well worth it.

I just retuned a customers car running the AFD kit and Full E85 and was incredibly impressed at how hard the car pulled, especially on top.
I can't wait to put the larger injectors I have in and test with E85. It's going to be a monster. |

I have owned aftermarket and stock supercharged cars, and have driven my mates, none of them sounded anything like this. I would expect it is in part to the lack of sound deadening on the bonnent and the likely thinner parts of the M3 and the fact it sits up high above the engine noise so it may even be amplified. It is very very loud. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I wish I could turn it off and listen to the sweetness of the exhaust. The power is definitely worth it though ... |

If you cover the hood vent you'll reduce the noise by quite a bit. It's loudest at higher RPM so for normal driving it's not too overpowering. I love winding it up to hear it scream.

Thank you again so much and I can't wait to do a full tune on this kit. It's amazing how your tune transformed the car!
