This is becoming a post-track tradition in the roastbeef household.

this was not my finest moment... well, depends on how you look at it. i didn't mean to pinch anyone, but i was already committed and lifting or braking over the crest wasn't an option.
i thought i could catch the rascal (the "legend" car) and made a move for it. i hate those things. slow, stinky, loud, and half broken, so you have to deal with them blowing up and being on the side of the track or getting towed out. anyways, right before turn 3, the rascal almost pancakes a chipmunk, too.

No noise with your fall lines?? Dang, did I install something wrong?
I changed the oil on my car yesterday and after further investigation I am fairly certain my click/clack was from my drivers side OE lower control arm, not the upper as I had thought. You might want to check this, test is simple, just grab the arm and push towards the front and rear of the car. One bushing is shot in mine and the arm itself is running into the metal mounting bracket it sits in. So glad to have this debugged finally!

Curious who all makes upgraded lowers, need to order parts ASAP! July 4th sales maybe

Update: Didn't see any upgraded pieces out there so just grabbed a set of OE-like TRW replacements from FCP Euro.

Yeah. Normally I'd have a chance to pit after this happens, but didn't have any warning about the pedal going long. Fluid just spewed out of the caliper bleeder screw too.

So are the brembos on the F8x just rental-grade or something? I feel like this is not the first time I have seen somebody off in the proverbial weeds without warning at a track day in an F8x. Reminds me of the 350z Track Pack failures. Brakes brakes brakes then no brakes kthxbye

I mean, you're in a firesuit so you were prepared

redpriest Scary stuff. Glad you and your passenger are okay. Any damage to the car?

roastbeef That pass was fair enough for the advanced group. If the slower cars were caught off guard by your move they don't belong in that group. But behind a pack like that sometimes it's good to just pull in to the hot pit and make the "give me some space" sign.

yea, i could do that next time. thing is, those little rascal cars had conga lines behind each of them.. there were two or three. one of those rascal guys was a little indignant at the driver's meeting. they grid by lap time, but you're always going to lap those things no matter what.

Lots of rascals and technicals at the track this weekend

Brave dipping into that divot on the main straight - it upsets the car a little bit when you do that, I've done it accidentally and it wasn't a good feeling at full throttle.

i don't feel as bad about it now. i think i mostly felt it was sketchy because i put a lot of trust in that integra driver's situational awareness. i was inches from the pit cones and knocked a few over i think. could have been worse if he liked to cut over all the way and didn't see me. i think thats mostly why i felt "bad."

i have never felt uneasy about taking turn 1 at full throttle. even in the vid, the car wasn't upset about it, the other car was just too close for my comfort. i've taken it a bit more to the right and didn't find it to be beneficial in setting up the car for the braking zone of turn 2.

did your wheels take any damage from the turn 11 incident? you could hold the record for the newest apex wheel wrecked.
