Get in touch with Clark at Apex Performance. He can usually get you a pretty nice discount on pads, including the Ferodo lineup |

Really liking Hankook RS4s so far. Seem to have pretty good wear characteristics considering I just put 7 sessions on them and they seem to barely be worn. Grip is pretty good, probably not RE-71R class, but good enough.
Will continue to play with these. Still pretty competitive with my M4 + these tires vs my modded out E92 on RE-71R.

First, had nasty fuel cut coming into turn 5 - basically ran out of gas. Got drivetrain malfunction warnings etc., limped back to gas pump to refuel. Needle was literally on E. Lost track of how much fuel I had because I was putting down a really good lap time, haha. Target fixation. Then I cooked my brakes. I'm using the Endless ME20 pad with SRF on stock M4 iron disc calipers. They were brand new for ACS at Bimmerfest, so they had 8 sessions on them. Was able to get 5 Laguna sessions before I started to get some pretty severe fade. Came into hot pits/paddock immediately and pedal went to the floor. Had to drive around in the paddock for a while because they were on fire. Lol. Swapped pads for OEM pads, which were essentially brand new. Cooked through those in 2 25 min sessions - so I need to order two new sets of pads. Laguna is brutal for brakes. Got 7 sessions total today. Would have gotten more if I didn't have to swap pads. Sucks. Tires look practically new despite having 45+ laps on them.

damn dude! do you run the race gas in the m4? i don't think it would make a big difference in the m3, but maybe in the m4 with the turbos...
one of my small fears of refueling on a track day is some janky pump nozzle spilling out gas and it dripping down the fender, hitting the wheel, dripping onto the rotor and igniting. probably an irrational fear, but i'm always extra careful. i have about 1/2 of my DSUNO's left, and two days on my 1.11's. i'll be bringing my ds2500's as well for the ride home. most importantly, how were the lap times lookin?

Speed District at Laguna Seca was definitely a dream come true. 34 cars total, I believe. Two run groups. I put in almost 90 laps over the course of the day. Best time was a 1:47.89. I suppose that's decent, given that my car is basically stock, but it felt slow since the track was filled with GT3RS's, a couple R8s, a McLaren 570S and a P1.
Faded my PFC-08s in the first session, so I was concerned that brakes were going to be an issue all day, but it never happened again. Phew! |

Best I did all day was 1:42.3. Best rolling lap was 1:41.5, and could have done 1:38 with my splits. Good first time with 1) New tires, 2) New car, 3) MT at Laguna. Spent a lot of time experimenting with different gears, trying to figure out if doing turn 11 in 3rd was a good idea or not - upshifting to 4th before turn 6, or downshifting to 3rd while braking for turn 6.... will have to go through the data to see if it was worthwhile or not.

I guess I prefer the 08's modulation, which is amazing. They just require ample cooling to work optimally. I second Clarke at Apex Performance. I've bought pads, rotors, and safety equipment from him for years. Talk to him directly and you'll almost always get a discount.

Driving one gear higher than normal in the rain is a great way to go really slow in the rain. It's called part-throttle, it comes standard with every car, there's a secret unlock code hidden between the top of the travel and the floor and once you unlock it, you can use it whenever you want, like magic up up down down left right left right a b select start
![]() Agree on stay off the paint, and the shiny stuff, and STAY OFF THE GRASS Also, at Road Atlanta, if somebody drags clay on the track in the rain, you might as well park the car through that portion and the next corner while your tires clean themselves

They are pretty good. I have run with them several times. Not too much vetting of run groups so you will see some clowns in the higher groups.
