Got my antigravity battery squared away. I'm having an intermittent power problem, but I'm not 100% sure it is battery related... I think it's a faulty battery cable to fuse box connection. Reading up in that thread, I'm having similar symptoms.
I found some Velcro straps at Home Depot that slip under our batter tray and work really well. Very cheap DIY and perfect for holding the light weight battery. i taped the strap to a zip tie and fed it underneath the oem tray.

These batteries have a sleep mode that might confuse the Intelligent battery system these cars have. I'm going to swap in my oem battery and see what happens. If it's still happening it's probably the IBS cable or the fuse box connection taking a dump.

Quick question fellas - do any organizations check expiration dates on belts and/or seats where you guys track? I understand for competitive racing, but talking about DE days with the different groups out there. Thanks!

What event(s) would work for me to get my car out on a closed course and get some education? I'm in SoCal and would love to learn but not feel like I'm holding others back. Mainly I'd like to get my car out there and see what it can do.
Thanks! |

check out speeddistrict.com. enter any beginner group and opt for the instruction. you'll get a ton of track time and great instruction. don't worry about being new to this. before anyone was good at something, they were new to it. we all had our first day as well. you'll be just fine in the beginner group and you can learn at your own pace. see you out there.

Check out one of the BMWCCA events. There are usually a couple each year. It's a bit pricey but you get an instructor on every session and classroom time as well. It's a great way to get started.

Depends on the group. I've ran with three different groups so far and haven't had anyone ask about my equipment or look at it.

Same here. The BMWCCAs and Porsche clubs and what-not tend to be a little stricter on tech, often requiring an inspection by a legit mechanic, but I haven't gone to any of their events.

My matte bronze ARC-8s arrived this week and I'm quite pleased with how they turned out.
If I have TPMS on my current track wheels, is there any argument for not transferring the sensors to these wheels? The weight must be fairly negligible. ![]() |

If you don't have idiot lights on it's not a track car... so no tpms sensors
