not sure when my next track day will be (besides june). i was thinking saturday would be it for a while because its starting to get hot. bummer.
A bunch of us locals are doing Laguna in July or August with NCRC...good track group and $90 cheaper to do Laguna with them than most other trackday companies. Check them out man...

I ran Laguna with NCRC and they're a fantastic organization. One of the most organized and professional groups I've run with. Keep us updated. I need a Laguna day ASAP!

Any feedback on Trackmasters? I'm likely to sign up for their June MRLS event but have never driven with them.

I've driven with trackmasters at MRLS when the shared a day with FDR motorsports. Nothing but professionals. You'll have fun!

Bought a Macht Schnell Catless midpipe today off someone on the forums. Ill have it on the car next week. Ill be pairing this with the MS Intake, and MS Pulley kit, and most likely a BPM tune. Hopefully ill be at 390 RWHP with just bolt ones and a tune. Ill try to make my way to the DYNO at Bimmerfest but no promises. Should sound epic with my BW race Catback

i somewhat understand the benefits of e85, but i'm just not going to mess with it in an m3. i just don't see it as necessary.

They don't sell E85 at the track so it would be a hassle. Plus, much of the cost saving (over 100 octane) benefit is countered by the fact that you need much larger injectors so you end up using much more vs 100.

I'm all signed up for a 2400 endurance test starting in a couple weeks. X5 heading to DC loaded to the gills with co-driver (the "hot babe") and 2 saber toothed shelties for security!

This still counts as track time, right?

Got bored on my first day of summer and made an easier to use gas nozzle for gas tanks at the track. Took 3/4" and necked it down to 1/2" which fits our filler necks perfectly and keeps the mess at a minimum

How would I check to see if my rear brake guide pins are taking a dump?

Inspect the pins and the bushings visually for excessive wear. Remove the pads and make sure the caliper can slide back and forth easily. Inspect the pads for uneven wear.

installed my Macht Schnell mid pipe last night.. pretty awesome. Same time I was working on it with a buddy, someone posted in a NORCAL track day group that they were selling a track day for today (5/3) for $90 at Thunderhill for the 5 mile course!!! I took it because wow cheap track time. It was with the Golden Gate Lotus Club and there were 2 groups (Advanced and Intermediate). I ran advanced and got 4/ 30 minute sessions in (out of total of 7 possible). Weather was hot (95+ degrees) but nonetheless super fun. Even paid it forward to thunder hill and mowed some of their grass for them.

How well did they run the event? I signed up to get their emails "just in case" I need to find a track day group up there. Just curious how they run.
