Lowered the front to increase the seat angle
How that affect shoulder belts? Aren't the holes tall?

The angle between your shoulders and the harness bar need to be 0 degrees, or negative; you can't have the straps moving upwards towards the harness. In the other configurations I had it, my shoulders + hybrid would be below the harness bar, meaning, the angle between the straps and the bar would be wrong.

So this May I'll at COTA and last time I went (2yrs ago) my wheel weights got soo hot they fell off. Steering wheel started shaking at 100 plus mph. Is there a way to make them stick?

I don't think painters tape will work and duck tape might be too much and end up removing the paint when I take them off...

Get some heat-rejecting adhesive tape.

3M aluminum tape will work for the wheel weights.

Any time I've had tires swapped at the track tire shop they use that stuff. Seems like good practice for your track wheels. I lost several weights recently and it vibrates like a mofo. Not really noticeable on the track but pretty annoying on the way to and from.

A mildly bent rim can run fine. Most of the rims in my three sets are not perfect anymore. But if they're balanced properly, they run fine. However, if I lose wheel weights.....the steering wheel shakes, and the car feels unsettled. Let's just say it erodes confidence.

I've had so many tire changes on these rims, and there's been so many sets of weights on them, that the new weights don't have clean rim to stick to. So, the new weights are basically falling off before they've even been on the car. If I don't tape them down, there's literally no hope of them staying on.

I use that shiny metal-looking HVAC-style tape. Never had a problem.

I use aluminum tape that you can get at Lowes or HD. Worked every time.

Spring Mountain

Bunch of us ran spring mountain this past weekend in Nevada. Fun track with a little bit of everything. My PB of the day was a 2:45.128. Not sure if I'd take the trip back there again unless I lived much closer. Either way, fun weekend.

It's a great track in the middle of BFE. So many configurations to do.

Fun to run at. Some really challenging sections and long straights for those with exceptional right foot talent.

i was planning on going to willow springs this saturday, but i forgot about a family event and can't make it.
i'm also longing to go to laguna seca, but speedsf doesn't have a day until early june. so i checked the laguna calendar on their website and the schedule looks super packed until then.
not sure when my next track day will be (besides june). i was thinking saturday would be it for a while because its starting to get hot. bummer.

when in june are you running? Speed Ventures? My friend Ace Robey runs a track day group called "exclusive track days." He's running May 29 at MRLS for 290 bucks. 3 run goups 7/20 minute sessions..

Yea I was planning on speedventires. I'll check out that group and I'll likely make it up for that! Probably still run double run groups.
