Gintani Race vs OEM Exhaust Mod?

I searched but I didn't see a direct comparison b/w these options. I've been strongly considering the Gintani Race but an OEM exhaust mod costs so much less that it's very appealing.

If you've heard both which would you go with?

Gintani race, totally changes the car but will be LOUD. Good loud though

They are completely different sound wise. Gintani is very deep and boomy and will drone like crazy. Oem mod is a little higher pitch and will not drone at all.

I have heard both and had the pleasure of having the oem mod and hands down I would do the oem mod. Gintani is probably my least favorite exhaust.

Loud isn't a deterrent for me. Drone might be. If it drones less than an n54 with a muffler delete then I can live with it

I was thinking about an exhaust (not Gintani) but went with the OEM exhaust mod though since its so much cheaper. I figure it should scratch my exhaust itch,which it has so far.

OP which one did you decide on and why? I'm between the two now, but it seems like people really like the OEM mod for loudness/price.

Another factor to measure in if important is the weight savings of an aftermarket system vs just the oem mod. Tip size as well, which can be changed of course, but would add to the final price tag.

only problem is if you plan on doing primary deletes or messing with or changing mid pipe at all...it can be very raspy with oem exhaust mod

Well it all depends on what kind of sound u r trying to get out of car. I'm in love with my Gintani race coupled with test pipes.

Dumb question but will the OEM exhaust mod void my warranty? I imagine it would but I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with this in the past?

I'd start off with a secondary cat delete first and see if that is good enough for your taste. Good improvement in exhaust flow, sounds great some power frees up and better response. Cheap to do and this mod pairs well with axle back mods like the exhaust mod.
