i use two. i use the m0s2 and ceratec. ceratec is more of an engine treatment that is to be used about once very 50k miles. i used it for a few oil changes because it wasn't in the oil for very long [3 track days].
for the m0s2, i experienced undeniably quieter cold starts. for actual engine noise when idling, it made no difference to me.
two people i have referred the ceratec to (redpriest being one of them) reported higher mpg.
a little experiment i did was put ceratec in my gas edger. not only did it run smoother, but i was able to get it to idle at a lower rpm, and run at a higher rpm before it ran too rich. there was also a definite audible difference in my edger. so, i'm a believer and trust liqui moly products.

The snakes in the engine slide by things so much better with this stuff!


Molybdenum di-sulfide is a well known solid lubricant. It's been studied by tribologists for a long time. The stuff in the can has particle sizes small enough to not get caught in the oil filter.

Liqui-Moly is a well known German company with high quality assurance standards. It's not 'snake oil' like some of the stuff you see on the shelves of your local auto parts store. However, I don't have hard data to back any of this up, so ymmv.

For me it's peace of mind with no side effects that I'm aware of. When I did the rod bearings on my car it wasn't all piled up in the oil pan (e.g., it didn't come out of suspension and settle on the bottom of the oil pan).

I've been using molyslip in my car since 14k (abt 75k now). Oil changed every 8-10km, tracked regularly in the summer, my rod bearings were in great shape (I have posted pics in one of the 50,000 threads on rod bearings) when recently changed. I attribute that largely to molyslip. I use it on my shops recommendation.

Anyone aware of any aftermarket seat solutions that include both heating and side airbags in the spirit of dual purpose driver? I guess maybe Recaro sportster but I don't think these are easily available with side airbags except through Europe ($$$).

Yup the Recaro Sportsters and I believe the Recaro Sportsters CS can have air bags. Check with EAS they could probably get them. IIRC they are around 3-3500 each (with side airbags)

had a great day at buttonwillow. fun track, i just need to get more laps in to really get to know the track. it became obvious that this is a track of give and take. lots of compromising corners for higher speeds or better positioning elsewhere.
special thanks to NoCarrier for the helpful morning instruction/pro tips.
i meant to do more, but my lightweight battery isn't exactly "permanently" secured, and i was sort of dealing with intermittent starting in the later half of the day.

It's been a while since I've been at BW, but it looks to be a left turn going into turn one... (pro tip, use the outhouse on the outside of turn 1 as a visual to find the exit).

There is a ton to learn at a first trip to bw. Shifting points, the late corners, etc. I'll be back, I just don't know when. It's 160 miles one way... takes it out of you, ya know?

BW is 6.5 hours from Vegas (313 miles). Instructed for 2 days or raced for two and then drove hom. Hell, I towed to Thunderhill, open track for a day, two days of racing, then towed back to Vegas after racing (it was a bit too far, tbh, should have stopped in Tehachapi).

Suck it up buttercup!

lol I don't know if it's my home. My favorite though! And I'm not driving 400 miles to laguna, tracking, and driving 400 miles back... I'm usually staggering around Carmel for a few days after.
