center console POWER button: replace whole panel or just button cover?
Hi guys this is how the button is looking like right now, looks like fully functional other than the missing button cover. Do I need to replace the entire panel (3 buttons) or can I simply click a button cover back in?

that's right. the thing is I know a guy who is selling his whole panel for cheap, but the panel does not have the EDC button. This would only make sense if I can take off the button cover and put it on the original panel.

I think it could work but the hardest part will be getting the button off without breaking it. It looks like there are two small plastic ears beneat the button that holds it in somehow you have to get it off of those two points without breaking it. |

I deleted my last post because I was wrong..
I said the module would have to opened but, looking at the picture, the ears tdott mentioned are circled. The ears are extremely fragile. You would probably have a better chance at prying the button opposite of the ears

My DSC button will come off. I can put it back on. The tabs on the bottom are not broken. But it seems like it's not snapped into place like the other two are. Does anyone have any experience with securing a button?

Can you post a close-up picture of the underside of the button?

I did see one of my tabs are broken. Know that I realize that I can try and keep the bottom slid over to the one side. I used to work with plastic and maybe I can come up with a solution.

thanks buddy, looks as OEM but who knows what comes. When you are awaiting delivery? Maybe your report will be helpful to know if that fits...

The font is different on those ali express buttons. Would drive me mad. There are no 100% accurate button replacements available to the best of my knowledge.

old thread but relevant, how easy was it to pop the button off? My EDC button is scratched and looking to replace just the one scratched one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/20391721407...Bk9SR5yC1fuyYQ |

A hardened razor blade between the cover and the switch and pry up on the cover.
I’ve replaced a few switch covers like this, none have broken but one should still be careful to not break the mounting point on the switch. |
